1959 Citroen 2CV AZ

Hmmmm.... why would I be posting a bunch of Citroen 2CV stuff? Could be because there's a new addition to the family that happens to be a 1959 Citroen 2CV. It's a nice early ripple bonnet with the 425cc engine and centrifugal clutch. This Citroen was kind of a first for me in the sense that typically I buy cars and motorcycles that are in need of a complete restorations. With my wife's help, I've started to realize that my restorations take way too long and I already may have more vehicles than I'm likely to finish in my life time. With that in mind, I sold one of my projects, the Bajaj 3-wheel truck, to make room for the Citroen. The Citroen I purchased was restored in France. It's not quite as anal a restoration as I typically try to achieve, but it's a nice car that retains some of it's original patina and so far seems to be mechanically sound and run good. A good solid daily driver that I don't have to worry and freak out about where I park it or people touching it. It's actually kind of fun and liberating to have a vintage car that I'm not so worried about. Here's a few pics of the new baby!
